Providing clean water to people in need.

ClearWater Initiative was started in 2007 by Capt. Benjamin Sklaver. While deployed in Northern Uganda with the U.S. Army at the close of the long conflict with Joseph Kony and the Lord's Resistance Army (LRA), Ben saw the desperate need of villages for water in order to rebuild and thrive. We specialize in partnering with small, remote, rural villages that no one else is reaching. We've observed that newly-dug wells often break down and go out of service within two years of installation, so we work intensively with villages over several months to provide training, build a committee to care for the water point, and finance future repairs. Our goal is to empower villages to lead happier, healthier, and more productive lives.
